F75 Erratic Signals

My F75 beeps when I wiggle the coil wire where it connects to the control box. It will also do this if I bump the control box. It beeps like it's getting a target signal. Yes, the connection is tight. Is this normal on all F75's ? Try it on yours and see.

Thanks!

Mine only seems to do that when I have the sens cranked up above 90. It's tolerable around 90 but gets progressively more chattery as the sens number goes up. Below that there is little or no chatter.

I am having the same problem, I believe it's in the plug on the cable itself, the sleeves in the plug that slide over the prongs in the control box are really loose and can move quite a bit. No matter how tight the connection is I still get erratic tones. I also have had times when no signal is audible at all, then I wiggle the wire at the connection and it will work. Man its unfortunate, I have been using Fisher products for many years, but have to say, the F75 is one of the worst constructed machines I have ever used. I am going to send mine in this week for repair. :veryangry:
