F75/CZ performance

Neil

Well-known member
Ive only used the CZ so is there anyone who has used both and can tell me which will ID coins better at depth and also how does the F75 hit on silver coins? I seem to read more about it on the relic forum, any comments on it being a good/poor coinhunter?

Thanks,
Neil

I ALSO USE A CZ.I WAS AT A DEALERS,NOT SAYING WHO, AND THEY COULD NOT GET THE 75 TO WORK RIGHT. THEY PRINTED ME OUT A COPY OF THE MANUAL.IT HAD SO MANY PAGES I THREW IT AWAY.MOST PEOPLE DO NOT WANT SOMETHING SO COMPLICATED.MY BROTHER IN LAW JUST BOUGHT A DFX. THE DVD IS ABOUT 2 HRS LONG.I'M CURIOUS TO SEE THE TWO NEW FISHERS COMING OUT.DON'T KNOW IF THIS HELPS,BUT GOOD LUCK.

P.S.TRY BEFORE YOU BUY

The F-75 is my first Fisher product so I can't compare and contrast to the CZ series. I found it pretty easy to pick up and use, but after 9 months am still learning new things with it and about it. The manual is some help (I read it over and over after using the detector and it starts to make some sense). Just started playing in discrimination mode bit with the disc at "0" and it's like a whole new detector to learn all over. I stopped notching and setting disc over 18 last summer and that was a different "feel" also. Whan I first got it I was discriminating and notching all ove the place and getting lots of coins and little trash, but probably missing some gold and old/deep coins. I think it is a great coin shooter so far. I'm pulling dimes and nickels that other detectors leave (including many in my "regular" town park that I know I missed with my Minelab!) I think the biggest error F-75 testers/new owners make is cranking the sensitivity. 50% is plenty if that's what it takes for stability. I have no problem getting solid repeatable hits on 12" quarters and lead musket balls (in my test garden) at a sensitivity setting of 30 with the disc at zero! That's plenty hot. Deepest dime I've dug was 8" beside a river. I'd say that's a good shot on a dime!

If you turn it on indoors there is no hope. It will chatter and spark like a Robin Williams on a caffeine high. Air tests are right up with waving a fishing rod in the store and trying to judge how it will cast or whether you'll feel when a fish bites. Try it in the stores test garden or trial site, and if they don't have one find another dealer.

I have a cz3d and the F75. I mainly coin and jewelry hunt and within about a week of getting the F75, I pretty much retired the 3d. The F75 is not difficult to learn, hunts great in trashy sites, loves nickels (like the cz's) and hits silver hard and at excellent depths. I've recovered many silver coins and jewelry pieces with the F75 as well as 5 gold rings. I've dug one silver quarter at a true 12" and a silver dime at 10" with the stock coil and a silver dime at 9" with the small coil. For me, the F75 is my choice. HH jim tn

great info charlie..I feel the same way this is my first detector the F75 besides my wifes Titan 2000 XD which finds coins and is super easy to use..So me picking up the F75 has been a good learning experiance Its a great wheapon to have and will Do it all..I here the cz21 is a waterproof machine..I would like to have one for lake diving..But the F75 is a good choice If you have enough control to hold back the rains..james

You are at or better than my CZ-70Pro with the 10.5 loop, running full sensitivity,0 disc, and normal audio setting. I know I can hear the deeper coins at full audio boost in disc, but the ground noise is extreme and you really have to go SLOW. The most troublesome thing is that in pinpoint on the deepest targets sometimes you can't get an audio. How strong is the pinpoint on your F-75?
Considering the loop on the F-75 is a DD and not equal to a concentric in size, I'd say the F-75 is ONE VERY IMPRESSIVE [ LIGHTWEIGHT] DETECTOR from your , and others empirical results.:fisher::detecting:

I mainly coin hunt, and the 75 is my number 1 first grab detector. I have a CZ3D, and while it's great, it's gathering dust these days. The F75 has consistently performed for me over the past year and I wouldn't dream of giving it up!

I never use the pinpoint feature. I'm coming off a Minelab Musky with a DD coil and I am just so used to sweeping and then shifting the coil 90

I love the F75 pinpointer with either coil the stock DD coil and the 6"small coil.. I can blip a target pull the trigger and be spot on when i dig..And can even outline a nice size target
...it just works...
