F75 - Brass/bronze masked by iron problem

New member
Hello,
After today's saerch i'm very angry about my incompetence (detector i'snt guilty).
When I search WWI fuses like this ----> http://www.passioncompassion1418.com/decouvertes/english_fusees_collection_div.html#Austria3
I loose many of them beacuse iron masked bronze/brass.I figure out about that by accident - strange singal about VID 20-22 (usually VID above 60) I check and I'm round-eyed.After I get fuse off the ground signal was on iron VID 16 (bouncing).

I walked with settings:
sens 98
motion AM mode
treshold -1
ground about 80

I try 1F or 1 and disc 6 but VID still doesn't show brass/bronze (show's about VID 6-9)

Can anyone tell me how set F75 to don't have that situation again ?? Or this is simple - impossible ....

hello Damiano,

Magnificent finds you are after!
I answered some of your questions I think in another discussion and will give you the link.

Look here.

I hopes this helps you.

Regards,

SJ

Thanks SJ
I will try with change disc and settings AMM.
I'm afraid that in my case it does'nt work - to many iron and too close to bronze.
My case is unique...

Damiano,

What an interesting collection of artifact you hunt for !

Are those pictures of your collection?

Do many hunt for such an item and is it highly prized among detectorists?

Here in the States, a prize find from our own Civil war in the 1860's is a brass belt buckle.

What part of Europe are you?
SJ

SJ,

Pictures are'nt mine but i find fuses model M8 and M99 (like on site in 1-st post).
In my region finds are valuable sentimental (for me - not for money of course) beacuse they are from beginnig of WWI (1914 year).
Central Europe.

I think problem is in that - iron attached with bronze...
