The last think I thought the Fed Ex guy was dropping off this morning was the F75. I just sent it in last Tuesday for the upgrade, so it took a week there and back. Unbelievable....
Sent in the machine and the small coil and told them to make any changes it needed. The note in the box said they added a new coil as the original was bad. The new small coil was working just fine so its the original. I like the softer thicker hand grip. Its going to be a little harder to keep clean but feels great. I can't tell any difference in the battery compartment but then I only changed batteries 3 times since I bought in June. But thats because I changed machines when it started acted up. Should have sent it in a long time ago.
Not sure what changes they made to the machine but it so much different then when it left. The small coil couldn't read a quarter for me more then 4-5" and now its twice that in the house. I even had to go around and find all the sheeting nails in the floor to test out its separation. I put on the big coil and it didn't make a sound while near the floor. It did ID a nickle, penny and quarters spot on and didn;t bounce a bit....YaHooooo.
Now if I lifted the coil up to far to air test a coin, the interference was picked up quick. I took the machine outside and it ran flawlessly. I put it in DE, 3 tone, sens 90, Disc 10 and fast grabbed. Same thing, quarter, penny and nickle solid tone, solid ID and repeated both ways. I tried it in JE and it started to get a little unstable. I like that, I wanted some extra over the DE mode and power to spare.
Fisher did a great job, supplied the needed large coil, added the upgrade for what I consider a deal and got it back to me in 7 days from the time I sent it. Tomorrow is suppose to be one of our better days yet so we are heading out about noon to a little park and then hit the beach downtown in front of the hotels to test it on salty sand.
