F75 back and 2 hunts

hunted a 1928 house demo lot in Houston. First day on the front yard, and it was MUDDY, I got several old wheats, 10S' 12, 12D, 15, 16D, and about 10 newer ones. Almost all of them rang up around 71-72 but the numbers move so darned much I have to say that is where they hit mostly. Wednesday went back tot he same lot and did the back part then moved about a hundred feet to where they had token off the top 4-6" of turf for a new slab. In that very front area about 25' by 15' I got 2 44D nickels which both were bouncing from around 30 to around 60 and goo tone so I dug them. A merc and 2 silver rosies all were in the 75-77 range and a 66 Kennedy half was 85-86. All great tones and consistent. I am gaining a lot of confidence in the tones and target size but not so much for numbers yet. They sure seem to bounce around a lot but I think I may be getting the hang of it.

Anytime you get 3 silvers in one day that's a super good hunt , nice finds. That gives me another idea where to hunt , look for old house demolitions , thanks.

In Houston we are blessed, as far as metal detecting goes, with lots and lots of 'lots' that are being demoed for new buildings. About 20-50 a week. I key on the older buildings being demoed, from the '20's to the late '50's. I bought the F75 to use as a backup to my CTX. I was hoping it would be better in the nails, and rusted metal demolition sites. At the moment I am not sure that is going to pan out, but the E-trac I traded for it was the same as the CTX in so many ways I just felt I needed a different machine. . Another little thing about the F75 and the small 5" coil is it always shows depth at about double the actual target location. Pin point and it says 9" and dig and it is 4 or 5". Maybe because it is supposedly optimized for the bigger coil. I dont know.

My brother wv62 has a f75 machine and when he puts that small coil on to hunt in tight areas , same thing your getting in your depth readings , shows twice as deep as it really is.

Hey silver is nice buddy. Good job. Go get some more. HH
