F75 air test question

New member
With a factory rest and stock coil how many inches are you guys getting on a clad dime?

I have never air tested coins with mine and don't pay that much attention to the depth of clad, but have dug some pretty deep ones and two silver dimes at 9-10", and they sounded good enough to dig. What are your air tests showing, if you have the F75? HH jim tn

In default mode settings new Batts and clad dime and penny 5.5" stock coil and gets it better on edge???..Swaped to Stat all metal mode wow..holy Cow..Hit the end of my tape at around 16" out
holding it away and bending it over in front of coil..amazeing ..It should be great at finding shells and cannon balls Deep.

ok, yes i dont go by air test alone but playing with settings and tones in the house with stock coil and factory settings i was getting 6in. Just didnt want to think something was wrong. Out in the test bed i hit a dime at 8in no problem with the settings tweeked a little.

O f course we don't go by air tests but it can you something comparing different detectors.

One cheap unit might hit a dime at 4" in the air and the F75 at 15" in the air.

Assuming the tests are between VLF units.

Which will do better in the ground?
