On Wednesday evening I had the opportunity to hunt a city park area until dark. Everything was going fine, I was able to run AM with sen 90
and gb about 66-68 or in disc mode with sen 75, disc 25, 3H, and de mode.
As I said all was well and the machine was as stable as I expected it to be at those settings when all the sudden its behavior changed totally and it became very erratic and noisy and I believe that it would not have found a silver dollar on top of the ground. This happened just as I was thinking it was getting to dark to dig and was about to head in. When I got back to the truck I reset the machine lowered the sen a bunch and was able to get back to a semi stable mode but I have to admit I was baffled as to what had happened and have been worrying that my detector has an intermittent problem.
Fast forward to this evening, I was in the same part of town hunting with a friend when the same problem started with my F75 as I had earlier in the week. As on Wednesday every thing was going fine until about dark, I was using the same settings and just about dark the dang thing went crazy.
OK, here is the question. Do you guys think that the street lights coming on around the area could create enough interference to cause these type of problems.
I understand the T2 has some issues with electrical interference but I am surprised to think the F75 is sensitive enough that street lights a half a block away could do this.
