F75 6.5" coil vs 5" DD coil?

CliffHanger

I am going to order an F75 next week, from where I don't know yet. Also, I will order a small coil for it. I have seen advertised a 6.5" coil and 5" DD coil? Why are there two small coils so close in size? Advantages vs disadvantages?

Thank you for your time.

Great question. I'd like to hear some real world experience with them. Check this out:

DD's are better in high minerals. I live in gold country and the 6.5 coil doesn't work well here. I always need to use a DD coil. This is the main difference as far as I know.

I have owned the 6.5, then sold it. 5" DD is on the way. I won't be able to post a comparison until later next week.
Although I can say for sure, the 6.5 is virtually 0 weight on the end of your detector. It is so light, it almost feels like your swinging nothing at all. Gets good depth for being so tiny too.

I had the 6.5 and didn't like it the id was off since the machine is set up for a DD coil. I have hunted with the new DD and it is great will seperate trash and masked targets very well. Fisher has hit a grand slam with this coil. The depth is great and ID's the same as the big coil. This will be the coil for me in the trashy areas. All Metal sen-90 and GB 56 these are my settings hope this helps.
