F75 11'coil use on the F70

Please straighten me out on the 11 DD coils. Is there one made specifically for each the F70 and the F75, or is there only one made that is interchangeable and can be used on either? Ive been reading comments about the F75 coil used on the F70. Are they saying performance wise the one made for the 75 works better on the 70? I am seriously thinking of getting the F70 and an extra 11" coil. I just want to make sure I get the 11" that delivers the overall best performance on the 70. Thanks for your input folks.

On the f75 there is a 11" DD coil and on the f70 there is a 6x10 concentric coil , but you can use either coil on the 2 detectors. The 2 coil that work best for me is the 6x10 and the 3x7 bough are concentric coil on the f75.

There are four coils available for the F70/75 and all are interchangable between both detectors. The F 75 stock DD coil gets terrific target separation and is great on trashy sites and in tough mineralized ground. HH jim tn

the 11'' DD coil (the "stock" F75 coil) works GREAT on the F70. It's the only coil I have for my f70 and would recommend this combination to anyone with an F70. Excellent stability in mineralization, great depth, great target separation. ID numbers might be a little more jumpy at depth, but definitely worth it.

I haven't taken the 11" DD off my F70 since I put it on! My F70 is more stable, the numbers are a little less jumpy and I get a little extra punch.

The only negative I've seen on the 11" DD is that it seeks out crown caps and screw caps :ranting:

Yes it does, but check your feo meter. Quite often on those old caps, you will get a bar or more showing. HH jim tn

The F70 dirt meter is the same as the fe meter found on other fisher/teknetics tectors, showing a continuous display of ground mineral concentration.

Jim I'll try that, it works on the F5 if you pump the coil over a "suspect" target, if the bars raise it's typically junk (iron), and if they lower it's dig time
