f70an t2 depth

Jimmy, I have had both and the T2 is a deeper running machine. I relic hunt and used it in all metal mode and just watch the ID's. I was finding 3 ringers at 12" and once found a cuff button at 10". I have had a bunch of machines in the last 2 years and the T2 was one of my favs............MO

MO, have you tried the F 70 with an 11" DD coil? I have an F 75 and with the 11" coil, the F 70 will keep up with my F 75, depth wise.

You will get more depth out of a concentric coil then a DD the same size. I have f75 and us a 6x10 ( f70's coil) and can get a dime at about 9".

thanks guys for the imput. i have been useing adfx for seven years.i live along way from any relic fields, an because my wife is disabeled it hard to get away. so i mostley hunt for rings an such at schools an such and old house places.ive learnt the vdi nos. an sound that the dfx gives on gold rings so well, i was wondering if i would be able to to the same thing with a f70?i like my dfx but the older i get the heavyer it gets an it has fair depth. but not great.

True in good soil. In tougher/mineralized soil you'll get better depth with the DD. I use a f75 DD coil on my F70. I sold the stock F70 coil because it didn't do as well in my ground.
