F70 question

New member
If all goes as planned, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, I will soon be swinging a F-70 in place of my F-5. :clapping:

So my question is: After reading the online F-70 manual I was left wondering if the F-70 while hunting in the Auto Tune (AT) mode will produce visual numeric ID numbers and probable target ID

Why yes...yes it will.

I will have it up there to you as soon as I can get to the post office I figure I will go Monday morning. Can't wait to see how it does for you I am glad and excited to see it go to someone that will use it and I can see the things you find and help you along the way to learn it.

Thanks Revier. I was reasonably sure it would, but if it was in the manual I somehow missed it.

Hey my friend if the weather isn't with you please don't rush on my account. From listening to the news the driving conditions in your area are down right hazardous.

Thanks for the offer of support on the learning curve. You may be sorry your sent me your Ph#.

Yep, they are begging us to stay off the streets the national guard is here, we have something like 4-6 inches of ice on the ground and road, it's really something.

Thats a lot of ice! Hope you make it through without losing power...nice to see you two got together on the F70!

Knarfj, When I first got mine, I ran in AT for nearly a year and watched that screen! AT has one tone, so everything sounds the same, after a while, you can sort of tell what the target might be, but it is not the setting you want in a target heavy environment! Possibly on the beach or out in an empty field. At least for me thats where I use it, it was way too noisy any where else, a fellow would get a headache trying to follow the TIDs and the noise was unbearable after an hour..I was operating under the idea that AT is the deepest setting, and I was going to find all sorts of silver..so I was stuck on deep thinking...It did produce some deep targets out on the beach, like a foot deep in the damp freshwater sand...I got this big chain running the F70 in AT on the sand a few months into the sport and thought Id be finding one every week after I got good..!.
Anyway, that target paid off the machine, and really hooked me on this sport in a BAD way! Good Luck boys...

I agree the AM mode is way to noisy to run and keep you sanity. I find I have good depth on the regular mode, and I was finding plenty of silver I think this machine has it all for the way I want to hunt.

Yes mud we have power thank God, most of the ice came down as sleet, there are about 1/2 inch of frozen rain on the lines, and about 7,000 without power in the area.

Hey Guys,

I wasn't intending to hunt in AM full time. I like digging targets but I do have my limits.

HH:detecting:

Hey Mud, you have a gorgeous hand :surprised:. I have tried to keep my nails looking so pretty but to no avail. Actually, I kinda had you pictured a little different :inlove:
Peace, ah -- brother? Fantastic find, jealous am I.
