Been using fishers for a looong time-cz5-cz6-cz70-cz20-1270- can someone tell me if i should finally switch over or will i be disappointed, thanks any input would be greatly appreciated,

Hi Tony good question i don't think you will be disappointed the F75 feels a little lighter battery's last 40 hrs it IDs iron well and can be swung faster

I don't know about depth i bought a CZ 70 this fall for a backup and did not get to do much dirt hunting before the snow flew

I like the CZ at the beach don't need a rain hood The CZ runs quiet with no EMI interference If you could blend the two of them it would be the ultimate

But thy both stand fine buy themselves can wait till spring to do some head to head testing Mike

I had two cz's, 6 and 3d, before getting the F 75. All three were and are great detectors. I say were, as I sold the cz's after falling in love with the F 75. I found for coin shooting the F75 performed much better for me then did the cz's in trash. As mentioned, it is lighter to swing and as for depth, I might give the nod to the 75. In wet sand, the cz's are better, but the F75 will hunt. HH jim tn

I had a couple of CZ-70s and they are great detectors. One of the features that was helpfull when hunting for gold jewelry was that you could notch out everything but the gold range if you wanted to. I have a F70 now and like it's fast responce time. I do miss the ability to notch through out the whole discrimination range. Being able to notch out the highest segment really cuts down on the false high tones caused by iron. One more thing. I prefer the small 3x6" coil for the F70. The little 4" coil for the CZs seem just a tad small for my liking.

Good luck,

Kurt

It was also lightening fast on the targets. You could swing it faster, and it was much, much, much better with nails. No deep nails reading as good targets.

I must correct my statement..I did not use the CZ-70...sorry I forgot that was a later model

CZ6-6a-7-7a- CZ5..in fact two cz5's one hot machine..One not as hot.

thanks for the help guys, looks like im going to have to make the plunge as soon as i can get some cash together, the ground is so frozen up here in ny, its going to take a while for it to thaw,as for my cz70 it goes real deep and is a great all around machine but boy is it heavy with the f-12 coil, hip mounting does help but if i can swing a 3 or 4 pound machine with the same results why not, thanks again tony c

EMI is a big issue for all these new F machines...especially trying to quiet them down around the powerlines around old houses. Many keep a CZ for those circumstances, even Tom Dankowski...just a consideration plus a CZ ID's a bottlecap like a bottlecap not a quarter like many F-machines from what I've seen too...HH
