In this video I attempt to explain why some detectors mistake deep trash as shallow coins, I'm sure if you have used any of the fisher F's you have expeirenced this.
 
Interesting,it took me awhile to determine size and depth of an object,your on the same page whith me as how to decide whether or not to dig.I simply raise my coil off the ground till the signal gets weaker if its 12-14 inches high and still has a good signal it more than likely is a large object.Pinpointing will tell you the same if you swing it in a cross patern...nice vid,its a good heads up I still from time to time forget to raise my coil and ever so often liberate that old can thats been laying in the dark for so many years!!!!.........hh rick in mi.
