F70 info needed

My f70 makes allot of noise in my area. I have found that about 30 sens and +9 thresh I seem to get my best depth. Would I be better to go with more sense and less thresh. Any tips or advice would be great. I have set the f70 on the shelf because the explorer seems to be less noisy. Since I received a Fx-1 for the f70 I would love to start using it again. I have the stock coil and the f75 stock coil what would be the better coil to use. I have used both but been using the F75 coil the last couple of months

Blawhorn if you run thresh in the minus area you will have less noise. -3 it runs pretty quiet. In the plus ++++ area you are picking up all the little bitty iron pieces and sounding off. If your looking for 22 bullets and those kind of things run higher plus +++? Sens@60 and thresh@-3 you can get fair depth. Some guys run 99 sens and +9 thresh but sure a lot of noise to listen to. There are many posts about running low sens and higher thresh for more depth. I think last summer there was a lot of experimenting done? Tried a number of them myself. You can do a F70 search and go back in time to dig those posts up.
I really like the standard coil much better than the 11". Much easier to pin point and easy to use and swing all day. But I am not looking for very deep targets. Thanks for reading .. HH ....Z

Some of the posts from the guys who dig deep silver/ relics are what you want to read or pick info from..still having said that, mine is usually set at 70 sens, -3 thresh, 5 disc, DE mode, and DP tones. HH

Hey there Mudpuppy what advantages do you think there are to running your disc at 5 verses say a setting of 15? Just curious.

Well I'll tell you! Knives and lighters and other iron that might have some value...I did run at 15 for a good long time this spring on soccer fields and whatnot, but on the beach, I want some knives and lighters. I probably should switch to 1 so I can hear it all...very rarely does anything pop in below 5 however, most is 7 and up, like nails are 8, and bobby pins are 11, and you will miss knives at 15 disc...keep those 20's and 30's grunts locked into your brain hard...thats where the ladies gold rings are on this F70, so you gotta get used to the tones and which one suits you best. You wont even have to look at the TID after a while. HH
