Ok, took the F70 to the field today for a few hours. All I can say is, back off the gas on this one!! I ran program 1, Disc 15, speed de, sens35, threshold 6,
3 tones, No notch. The ground was varied from 55-70 in the location I was in. I got some small brass strip that was at 6", round IRON harness ring that read a solid 80. Some medium square nails fooled me also. I don't like running a high disc, so I accept the fact that I will dig these. Even at sens35 the machine bounced between tones some, but not bad. At home in my test bed I crank it up to the 70's and it is stable. 1st time out, I did not notice a difference between the de & slow speed. It is a very sensitive machine. The last item I found was a solid lock on 80 at 7" and it was a plated buckle with a heart in the center size 2'x3" I hoped that I would at least find one 3 ringer, but he buckle was a suprise anyways. Maybe I can get out more this week to another worked out spot to seek the deep ones!!!!
