F70 and F75

How do the two stack up ? Depth, programming, ground balance ECT..........

I like some of the extras on the F-75. The back light, more options. But for the extra almost 350 dollars, I think the F-70 is a better deal. The F-70 is very deep. I have found coins down to almost 14 inches in very good conditions.

I have read reports on the F-75 being a little too hot. Maybe so, maybe not. I have had just a few minutes on an F-75 and I can say that it is a great detector. I it worth more than a F-70? I can say that the F-70 is very close to the F-75 as far as performance at 2/3rd's the cost.

Depth is very close between the two. Programming is easier on the F-70. The F-75 I like because of the pinpoint trigger instead of a button. The F-75 has one button and one knob. The buttons on the F-70 may after a while wear thin. The auto ground balance (ground grab) on the F-70 works pretty good.

I guess it all comes down to personal preferences.

The F75 seems to have the edge a little on depth, trigger pull, more adjustments for all around hunting. But all in all both detectors are very good.Deep units, and so is the T-2. The t-2 and Funits are different machines though not to be confused as the same electronics .All are extremely comfortable for usage in the field. Some say putting the 10" Concentric coil on the F75 unit makes it a very very capable detector for coins.I find the 11" DD coil works better in some applications over the 10" coil. That's just my opinion and your results may not be the same. The response recovery time is unbeatable on both machines. The 11DD coil allows you to get next to iron and still read the Silver within an inch or so of each other.I do not know if the concentric coil would allow that same close proximity. The fast grab ground balance on the F75 seems to be a little better in hot ground. All in all if you want a great detector either one will work well with good depth..no "Great depth" would be a better description. The F75 seems to be a little better built. Not saying the f70 isn't good, just a different build. The hand grip is much more comfortable on the F75.My opinion it is the most comfortable detector I have ever used(F75), with the most all around depth.

I've had the F75 for over a year and wouldn't trade it for anything. And, no, it isn't too hot. It's just a matter of learning what the machine is doing and making it work in your type of ground. Learn the machine and you'll love it.

I got the F-75 and then when the F-70 come out I got one of them too and I have since sold the F-70 as the F-75 seem to work better for me and my hunting. I find I like the small coil on the F-75 as it can get in between the trash better and picked out some nice finds others had misses. This summer I had a chance to hunt where the sidewalks were torn out in a old town in Northern North Dakota, but found out I was too late as there had been many over this area with some top of the line detectors for the last 2 weeks. I took the F-75 out with the small coil and felt they would have left something for me in the trash and i was right. In a 10 foot area along where the sidewalk was that was a lot of nails I picked up a very nice 1893 Canadian Fish scale and then a 1883 IH penny and a nice older Diamond ring that had been missed by the others. I only had a chance to detect that day for a hour as the others that were with me wanted to try someplace different as they felt it had been cleaned out.
I like the F-75 over the F-70 as i felt i could do more with the F-75 plus seem to go deeper for me and a better ID. I have 2 other detectors I use too, but like the F-75 for those area where I want to cover fast to see what is there before using my other detectors.
