F5 Second Hunt

Husker Dirt

New member
Got my new F5 out for a second hunt today. Last time out she found me a 1916 Merc. Today I just had an hour or so and went to an old school that has been hunted to death. Ground is still very frozen, but I found some soft spots. I got a 58-60 at 3" and pulled out an 1899 Indian Head. Used the supertune method described by Mike Hillis with gain at 65 and ireon, tab and foil notched. Will try again tomorrow.

I'm impressed! hunting the frozen ground takes a great deal of determination, and those are some awesome finds! WTG!
Mud.

F5 is certainly underated by most but is a nice mid line unit.....as far as notching out foil about 1/3 of your gold rings come in at that facet and compared to tabs not usually that much junk to mimic the gold ring. Spring is just around the corner so begone cabin fever....
