Very nice day today to break my detecting fast. The last few days the little woman had me take her shopping. One day at the Albuquerque antique/thrift stores where I found a treasure in the form of a couple of maps I'd been searching for the past couple of years. Next day north to Sante Fe, then south the next day to all the little valley towns. Ended up in Soccoro of all places She had fun shopping for her treasures and I got fed.
Today I went back to the soccer field I had started to hunt Friday morning with the Golden before the snow storm ran me off. This time I took the F5. It hunted real good there.
The chain is 4.9 grams of 14KT gold. 17" long.
The ring is 14KT GF and not in the best shape.
The medallion is .925 silver.
Coins came to $5.04 cents and two soccer toss coins. Nine of the twenty two dimes were found Friday with the Tesoro.

I like this machine more and more everytime I get to take it out.
The ring was a fun fine. I had a tag along in the form of a small child who decided to shadow me for a few minutes. He asked all the usual questions which I answered. Then I started calling my targets. 60s are zinc pennies. Up comes a penny and he's wondering how I do that. Then I call a 74 dime, then a 71 copper penny, then I tell him that this next target is a game token cause its a 64 (I had to explain what a game token was, which he then understood) and up a comes a game token. Then I get this next signal and I tell him I don't know what this is and I'd better dig it up and find out. And there was the ring. He took off for his dad and then I had two shadows for about 15 minutes.
I thank a corroded zinc penny for the chain. I had just recovered another zinc from about 4" and stood up and swung around the hole again. About a foot away I heard a high tone blimp that I doubled checked and it wouldn't repeat but every so often I got a blip. I started to step away but something about the sound told me to check it out a bit more. It was laying down in the bottom of the grass. Somebody lost their Christmas present I suspect.
Today my settings were 45, +5. Gb 78, High mineral reading. The F5 chattered when held still but hunted smoothly when in motion.
