General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

F5 coil not out yet?? I ordered one?? Read first before buying one

Does anyone know if the 5" DD Fisher F5 coil is even out yet. Fisher said June on the 11" I ordered the 5" and it came today, but it was not for the F5. The one I recieved was a Female 5 pin. I need a Male 6-pin:veryangry:
 
Who did you buy it from? I know one dealer that will send you the wrong item when what you want is not in stock. In my case they sent a different model of detector because they had no inventory to send. They should have notified me of that when I ordered, as they took the order like they could fill it. The USA office for the machine said inventory would arive soon from overseas. It took over a month.
Get a refund.

Bud - Obviously contact the dealer that sent you the wrong coil. If they are reputable you should have no problem getting your money back or the correct coil as well as reimbursing your shipping costs to send it back.

Good luck, and when you get the correct coil let us know how you do with it.
 
Same thing happened to me yesterday. I think we both ended up with f75 coils. I called the company and they said they would ship the right one and would send a tag for sending the wrong one back. I guess we will wait and see.

KellyCo was the only place that had them. But they obviously didn't have them either. So, this will be my first and last Kellyco experience. I just found out I live 20 Minutes from Backwoods in Greeneville!!:super: So there goes my paycheck from time to time.
 
I think the only brands they ( that Florida outfit) should carry are their own and Minelab. Tesoro was on to them years ago.
Owning something you like at the expense of a lie is not worth one goodie.
Backwoods is honest.

I have my 5" coil on order from Bill Crabtree, he told me yesterday that Mike Scott of Fisher had just told him 3 to 5 weeks more for the coil. :rolleyes:

Like Mr. Bill and Backwoods, Kellyco is a Find's sponsor too. And I appreciate that.

I'd give them a chance to make it right before getting too upset. Probably an honest mistake.

From what I've seen on my time on this forum, Kellyco is a big outfit that makes more than their share of mistakes on orders but is usually very good about correcting their mistakes.

Fisher is really dragging their feet on bringing out these accessory coils for the F5. :thumbdown:
 
I will give them a chance to make it right also. But if it has not been released yet, and they are selling them?? I will not be happy. If it is going to be 3 or 4 weeks, I will just let backwoods order me one.
 
I understand your frustration, Bud, I feel it too. These coils should have been out a long time ago. Having a unit out for almost a year before offering accessory coils is kind of ridiculous and not a good business move.

In all fairness to Kellyco, I think Fisher dealers were led to believe by Fisher that the release of the 5" and 11" coils were imminent. And then Fisher delayed it.

Just my impression, maybe Bill Crabtree or one of the other dealers on here could verify this as true or not?

If the coil is not going to be released for another 3-5 weeks, Kellyco should offer you the option of a refund without you asking. Bill Crabtree certainly did for me.

But they should not have been selling them as in-stock, they should have been "pre-order" if Fisher had delayed them.
 
Just talked to Fisher. they have them backordered because they have been delayed. I will just get my money back from KellyCo and that will be my first and last experience with them. Don't send me something, just because you don't have what I ordered: If I was the only one, then OK, but me and 2 others got the same F75 coil in place of the F5. :rant::ranting:
 
I'm sure what happen was there are some 5" fisher coils in stock and who ever talked to you mistakenly thought was the coil you wanted. An honest mistake because sending you a coil for the wrong detector does no one any good.

I hope the are sending a call tag to pick it up, if not call me at 800-898-6673 and I will arrange for the call tag.

But it even said on the Invoice, F5 only. So that should have tipped off the picker that something was different about it. I know that Customer support gets all the slack for the order pickers mistakes. I figure, they are not in stock yet, and that was the only Fisher 5" in the warehouse, so that had to be right?? The only person I am blaiming is the one that authorized it to be placed on the website when it was not yet in stock!
 
I would have liked a call-back to return the wrong machine you sent me years ago. It cost me more than shipping with lost time to return it when I was working long hours and making some bank.
That is an improvement I will admit JW. The story is true Bill, like it or not. Sponsor or not, the consumer pays the bills.

Bud, you must be mistaken because it just didn't happen like you said. Those other guys are making it up. Nothing but lying troublemakers. HH

I have had a good experience with Kellyco and Richard. I would buy from either again depending on what I am wanting. I do think Kellyco is high on their shipping charges on small things tho. To me it looks like they make money off shipping too. Mistakes can be made and the more people involved the more chance of a mistake.

As I stated it was a mistake, but not on Kellyco's part. after poking around the computer and checking the inventory; it appears Fisher packaged and sent F-75 coils as F-5 coils. We are waiting for Fisher to send the correct coils.
