F5 and relics

New member
Thinking of buying a F5 never had a fisher so my question is how well will it do on Relics I have seen video on coins but no buttons or bullets

I had great luck with relics and with the new 11 DD I would think it will do even better I have a test against my F75 on youtube under lcpm1956

I'm not much of a relic hunter so I can't really say one way or the other

I mostly relic hunt with my F5 and use the auto tune mode in the woods and open fields. The threshold hum is a little fatiguing because it is not real smooth when you crank the machine but you get used to it. I have dug bullets to 7 inches and I think the machine is quite capable. If hunt in disc mode, I use the two tone default disc 0 threshold +1 to +3 and gain as high as it will go until the machine is unstable. I bought the F5 for several reasons, The user interface is the best, everything at your thumb tips and on the fly no digging thru menus. The machine is a capable coin shooter, relic hunter and works very well at salt water beaches. I had it at the Atlantic in the wet sand and it GB perfectly and was quite stable. The machine is not an F75 but it is half the price and a good all around machine.

Take care

I think you should be ok with F5 on relics as they are iron.I hunt all me tel most times ans have dug nails, hinges, old pulley and lots of other annoying stuff-plus some good stuff-hit coins at 8".the F5 is a great machine for most hunts.have used it on fresh water beaches with no real problems.buy one and ya wont be disappointed regardless of the items your hunting.have used it with stock coil and the 5DD.this machine will definitely surprise ya with its capabilities am sure MrBill will fix ya up with one at the best price
