F4 vs Bounty Hunter 3300

Hi, I'm a newbie here but have been 'detectoring a long while. Starting out with a HeathKit I put together in 1970.

Right now I have a 3300 for the last 8 months. REALLY like it a lot and have some great finds. The "diamond ring" that I jokingly tell my wife I'll bring home and another dozen silver. These are all beach finds in Southern California.

I am looking to finance an upgrade to the F4 by selling a few rings. I'd LOVE to get the F75 but don't think I could afford it (yet).

Any thoughts here on the F4? Is there enough difference to make it worthwhile? I sure like the DD coil and I've already got the 4" for my 3300.

Thanks, Joe

PS: Posted this on Bounty Hunter Forum but it belongs better here on Fisher's.

Hi Joe, I have the F4 and I am more than happy with it. Go here for some good info on the F4 http://www.fisherf75.com/pb/wp_fdead068/wp_fdead068.html?0.7026475019839269

Thanks Andy,

Actually I've looked at your page a few times...a while back when my heart was set on the F75 and then when the price shock set in I realized the F4 will be the perfect upgrade to my 3300. I actually LOVE that Bounty Hunter and it's done really good by me! If and when I can sell that Platinum man's diamond ring (.5 carat center stone with 12 smaller accent stones) perhaps I will be able to afford the F75.

Oh BTW I just sent my payment off for the F4 today! Unfortunately without the DD coil. I think the DD would speed up my dry beach hunting so I'll be looking to buy one..meanwhile the 8" and 4" will be enough.

Regards, Joe
