F4 GB in All Metal (auto tune) mode doesn't make sense :rage:

As I understand it the F4 has manually adjustable GB only in all metal/auto tune mode, once switched over to disc mode the machine uses a factory preset GB mode .

If you hunt in all metal mode you loose the multi-tone ID capabilites, and only have a monotone feedback audio signal.

It also looks like you also loose the target ID capabilities.

IF the F4 can't clue you in as to what you've detected via audio tone or VID, what good is AM mode on the F4 (maybe locating underground metal pipes) ? If at least the VID worked, at least you'd have a manually adjustable GB mode when needed. What am I missing ?

Thanks,
Cal

All Metal mode is only used when u are in remote locations and will be digging every chunk of metal you find. The detector is very sensitive in this mode and reaches its deepest detection depths.

I guess that makes sense. I've noticed that on some other MD's in AM mode, the VDI still works.

Thanks,
Cal
