I have never posted here , but thinking about purchasing an f4. Can anyone tell me how deep they will id coins. As my x-terra 50 has trouble after about 4 to 5 incheswith id. Any and all information you can give me on the f4 is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
 
My experience with the F4 is that it will ID "accurately" to 7" with a quick sweep speed. If the target is deeper or trash slows you down the ID's will be different, which is something you learn the more you use it.

This is the most underrated detector in that price range. I think the coil on the F4 is the key to it's outstanding performance.

A blanket statement that the XT50 is "deeper" is either a misunderstanding of or a lack of experience with the F4.
