F4 Battery Question

Ordered The F4 today and while reading the online manual it states to use only Alkaline Batteries. So are rechargeable batteries out or has anyone used rechargeable batteries in the F4 with no problems ? Would be nice to use the rechargeable batteries since it does use the 9V Battery in stead of AA. Thanks for your help.
