Got the F2 today and took it on a test run. Seems to be very accurate on pinpoint and to go deep compared to others I have had.Went to old campsite along the river that was flooded this year and found lots of trash, had to dig {everything} and 2.66 in clad. good hour and a half hunt.:usaflag:

i love my f2..cant afford much else. but this machine is excellent.lightweight.loud.my only problem is i live near too many beaches and this machine will only handle the dry sand at best.as soon as i get close to wet sand it wont shut up.

I took mine right into the (fresh) water a few feet. I had the sens turned down to 1 -2 bars to get it to run stable.

It's worth more than $200 if you ask me. It has outstanding performance it just needs a little more depth.

Today I will try the 4" coil at the same area ,can't wait to try it out and will let you know what happens.:usaflag:

the pin pointing on it with the 4 inch is outstanding, though it does take more patience to hunt a larger area. good luck with it let us know what you find.

I do mostly relic hunting and bought an F2 as a first digital detector about 4 months ago, (been hunting with a trusty analog with different size coils) and also bought a 10" coil from a web site at the same time. Am impressed with the depth and target separation of the 10" coil. Have not been disappointed yet, well, one time, when I went out for three hours and did not find a single keeper. But, I went back to the same place the next day with my analog and didn't find anything either! With the F2 and 10" coil I've recovered several Civil War bullets, shell frags, and a couple of flat buttons. Even some old coins at a 18th century house site - including an 1820 Liberty large cent. Haven't used the 4" coil yet. Will be looking forward to seeing how it does closer to the house. HH

Hold your coil right over the target when you pinpoint and it will detune the target and should make pinpointing much easier even with larger coil..Right in manual and works..

Light as a feather with some bells and whistles along with a 5 year warranty. Gosh I wish they had something like this when I first started many moons ago..

Well today finally came and I got out for about a half hour and try ed the 4" coil in the same place I started with the 8" coil and it must have done a great job as I only found 27 cents today but I think I am going to love this detector,JMHO.:fisher:

I can get a solid signal on a six inch deep dime buried in my coin garden.

keep on diggin'

What typo of coil that you bought? I use F4 , and look for 10" round coil. I think it was 10" Bounty Hunter magnum coil?
