F2 to f5

New member
I've had a F2 for a year now. Used it 12 times
now. (really short summers in Canada)

I've enjoyed my f2 and reading the posts on this
forum. Very helpful.

My birthday is coming up and was thinking
of upgrading to the f5. Has anyone made that
jump??

I'm just a casual hunter 50% tot lots and then some
parks and near parking areas.

Is the f5 something to grow into?? Will the performance
justify a casul hunter to buy a f5?
Thanks

I have both and enjoy them also. They are a different class of machine. I like to relic hunt with my son and for the money the f2 does very well. I do not think you would be disappointed with the F5. Very easy to use and the user interface is the best I have used, no digging thru menus and all at your finger tips. In my ground in VA it gets about a third more depth.

Take care

Bob

If you do I will be waiting to see how it turns out for you, been thinking the same thing.

am in Tx and the F5 works well in this iron ore infested ground-plenty of depth, light wt.and as said user friendly -you'll be quite surprised at its capabilities

The omega 8000 looks interesting but I will probably stick with Fisher. I guess I didnt want buyers remorse and spend money on the f5.
I find the F2 ID a bit jumpy especially if its more than a couple inches in depth.
The ground here is so darn hard it would be nice to have more information before I make the effort to dig.
