well went out last night and hit the green by the old beer garden, the problem I noticed with the f2 is that the signal keeps changing, first you get a realy good solid signal, then after digging the hole it turns negative, hard work, its a very messy detector, any way to cut a long story short it came up with some super finds over 40 coins most of them modern,7.32euro and some old deutsche reich pfenings, oldest 1876 2pfenig,and yes( find of the year for me) a beauty:yikes:, small 22ct gold broch, 1920s art deko (got som pics but dont know how to post them) the problem again was the signal it gave a ferras dime signal, clik then middel tone, deep ca 20cm,still not happy with the detector over all,but came home all:wiggle:,only had this detector since last thursday, the beauty about this area is that I bashed it 3years ago with my 1266x,and found 100reads of coins,ok now most of the coins are modern euro, still I know where im of to this evening, the thing with this machine is that you got to dig nearly every signal or your going to loose a lot of good finds,

you bash my MD for sale in this fourm and know you like the F2 on what you find whats up with that.

sorry about that mate, did not mean to do that, was out again last night 52 coins, just got to give this detector a chance, getting to like it now,it is a great coin shooter,at that price its value for money

Sounds like you just need to put more time into the F2 and learn what it's telling you. I have the F4 (a souped up F2) and found it to be very easy to use, and very accurate. Not sure what coils you have, but the 11" DD coil on the F4 is killer, EXCEPT that it ID's bottle caps as quarters, but aside from that it gets excellent depth and of course excellent ground coverage. Several forum members here have put a lot of time into the F2/F4 and have had great results. It's probably not as deep as the 1266 (or whatever it was) you previously mentioned, but it has other advantages, like lightening fast TID, great selection of coils (5 coils available), good target separation (depending on the coil) and it's super light.
