f2 rechargeable batteries problem

andries

New member
Hi,

I put rechargeable batteries in my f2 and then it started smelling, after that the detectors power on/off did not work anymore, and it behaved strangely. It,s broken.
The batteries i used are 2 X-power 200ah nimh wich have a voltage of 9.6 Volt.Could it be that 2 times 9.6 volt was like 1.2 volt too much for the detector, maybe that,s why it broke
.I also heard that the f2 don,t work with rechargeable batteries at all.
Does anyone know? And if somone uses rechargeable batteries please tell me wich brand you use.
kind regards
from Sweden

Hej Anders,

I'm from Sweden too.

I use X-power rechargeable battery's, bought at teknikmagasinet. 220 mAh. They work perfect in my F2.

What you can do (should do?) is to verify that the two battery's are charged up to the same voltage, since the detector can behave in a strange and unwanted way otherwise. Mine shut down when I hit a target every time, with freshly bought alkaline battery's. They did not have the same level of charge even when new....

I hope this will help, and that your detector is not broken.

By the way, where do you live?

Lars
