F2 or the ace250?

Well-known member
I like the ace simple to use great coin machine but never owned a F2 just want to know!

Both great starter units, but I bought the F2 as my back-up, take on vacation, detector.

I wanted one that worked as close to my Vaquero as possible but with a screen in case I lent it to a guest.

I have had it over a year now and have found some of my best finds with it, including gold.

It works like my Tesoro's, as hoped, with a super fast recovery speed and fantastic target separation.
Better than the yellow fellow on these features, actually.

The best deal on the market with a screen in a beginners unit, in my opinion.

Well you still should get the F2 with the 3 coil deal, its a great little detector for the money!!!! Like one of the previous poster said it will find some of your best finds.

It can't turn on and setup much easier than the F2.
No controls!
No Volume!
No Gain!
No Threshold!

Set sensitivity,
Set up the notch discrimination,
and hunt.

?????? How do you set the notch and sensitivity if there are no controls? The Ace doesn't have a threshhold, gain, or volume either. All you do is push a button to turn it on, or another button to set choice of discrimination, or another button to set the sensitivity. And you can switch back and forth by just pushing a button.

When I said controls I just meant knobs, the F2 uses membrane touch pads for the few settings is does have.
