F2 or Compadre

Active member
i have a tesoro compadre and thinking of trading towards the F2 , which one is better and why? i never used a fisher before and was wondering how accurate is the meter for deeper coins? thanks in advance, CladKing

The F2 has so many more features you may want.

Can you see the battery level on the compadre...NO
Can you tell the difference of a pulltab and a nickel on a meter.....NO
Can you see the coin depth just by swinging over the target .....NO
Do you get two coils ....NO
No tone ID, No target ID, No notch, No pinpoint.

You get all that if you buy the F2 and more depth too.

My F2 ID's a silver dime as foil or iron at anything over 3.5". Works great for shallow targets up to 3" deep but my sister's Ace 250 is deeper and reliably ID's a silver dime down to 5". These results are based on tests on buried coins in my back yard.
