F2 Finds my first 2 tokens:thumbup:

Hey everyone,
Got out to the park today with the F2, busy digging all afternoon between the clad and the pulltabs. Todays highlight for me was I got my first 2 tokens. The first one I got is a New York International Airport Token. I thought it was a dollar coin. It has a map of the airport on the back and on the front it tells you how many runways, when construction started etc, pretty cool actually. The second one has "No Cash Value on one side and a simple design with no words on the other side.
Thanks for looking, enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Glenn

By the looks of that pile of pull tabs you should have gold ring in your sights soon.

Looks like a fun day Treasurdiggr !! That airport token is cool, seems like an inaugural token or such. Do you recall how deep your deepest find was ?

Were you hunting at Central Park ? Seems like it would be a fun place to hunt, must be some goodies there.

Hey Cal Cobra,
Not allowed in Central Park, it's off limits:thumbdown:. I'd say the average depth of the finds were 4-5" at this park with the 8" coil. The deepest finds were the nickels and old beaver tails like my last hunt. This machine loves them which is great for me because I know it will find the gold if it's there. I got a lot of these at 5-7", not as deep as at the last park but the nickels and beaver tails were the deepest at both parks so it's consistent in that regard. The last park had clear deep soil, this park had clear soil down to 4"-6" and then pain in the neck chunky 9 volt battery size rocks. I was able to get thru in most spots but gave up in some others that were too tough, I may have missed something good but I didn't want to tear the place up.
I again had the iron notched out, and didn't dig any bottle caps or other iron junk but I dug a bunch of it's big brother the screw cap. They all ring up under zinc and are real smooth sounding, I know the sound now and can guess it almost every time. I am almost confident enough to start passing on them. The only pennies that ring up under zinc have either been on the surface to 2". Deeper pennies ring up under dime so if I pass on the screw caps I don't think I would be missing much.
Pinpointing was a breeze and right on the money again, I swear I can dig a silver dollar size plug and have the target in the plug. I didn't even use the pinpoint button and only had to dig outside the initial cut plug area about 3 or 4 times and one time I remember because there was a dime and nickel together just off the rim of the cut plug area.
Good Luck!
Glenn
