can you use rechargable batteries in the F2 and do they make a 9volt charger? i found out today that cheap dollar store batteries wont work and i have to use alkalines but they are expensive. thanks, clad king

My daughter has used some rechargeables in hers and it seemed to work ok. We were out detecting one day and hers kept shutting off on her. I had my CZ3D with me that had rechargeables in it so I let her use them. Seemed to work with no problems.

The dollar store batteries from around here work pretty good. You just do not want the ones that say heavy duty. They seem to be the worst....

I got a charger and two nine volt batteries from Larry at NWI. Came with the 3D I bought from him. There are places online you can pickup batteries and a charger.

thanks bill, yes it was the heavy duty ones i used i guess that explains it. happy holidays to you and yours. clad king
