F2 and beaches

Has anyone else taken their F2 to the beach and if so what were your results..
I find that i get alot of falsing on wet sand(is there anyway to stop that?)
dry sand is ok..black sand is bad bad bad. i realize this is not a beach machine but there is always hope.

Most single frequency detectors don't handle saltwater beaches well, especially with a black sand mix. The only solutions are to turn the sensitivity down and raise the coil a couple of inches. A good used CZ or other multi-freq/PI is the way to go.

CZ's with multiple frequencies and a salt mode handle these situation well..Have used a F2 on land and a great little unit for the bucks however being one frequency and lack of manual ground balance I would suspect it would not do well under your conditions..
