F series forum

I was just wondering since there are so many posts here for the Fisher F series models if it would be possible to start a forum just for the F series models, like there is a forum for the CZ's. What do you think?

i think the idea has merit!..

Well it looks like a few people like the idea, I should be getting my new F2 today or tomorrow and it looks like the weather is going to be nice this weekend, can't wait.

Exactly my point r.r.warren, thank you. That is why I believe that the F series detector forum may have been a very popular and informative one at this site. You would have, so to speak, an old school Fisher detector forum and new school Fisher detector forum, and no I wasn't kidding, I actually thought it was a good idea. I know I'm a new guy here and it was just a thought so I'll leave it at that.

I would love to see an "F" serries forum. I am a newbie to the hobby and have trouble scanning all the posts from the more seasoned pro's looking for my F4 info. Hope to see this happen soon!!

I think for the time being Fisher F series models should remain on the Fisher forum, Already the Finds mall supports three fisher forums. The CZ forum still gets enough activity and the F-75-Coin Strike-ID Edge classroom forum gets allot of traffic and the fisher forum attracts allot of traffic as well.

To add on another forum may result in the removable of one forum, For now it may be best to wait and see which direction each Fisher F series detector takes and what First Texas/Fisher may have in store in the near future which is impossible to do since they are producing detectors faster than some users learn how to operate a machine.

For now, The Fisher forum is adequate enough for the newer F-series.

I am a Fisher user for more than 35 years and have owned more than 15 different models. The F Series is great but I agree with Scott, lovepulltabs and others that a new detector and older model forums would be good. The older 1200 series (and 1200X er's too) poses issues not similar to the new systems. The CZ's and F'ers could fit together and put all others up through the 1200X'ers in the other one. I am proud of Fisher quality and have only had to send one unit back for repairs, a VLF 552. Here's to "diggin it"! Larry (bjsone)
