Force equals mass times acceleration. I was reminded of that reality yesterday when I decided to give my Pioneer 505 another shot. Compared to the Elite 2200, using the 505 was grueling. Aside from the increased mass which resulted in increased force and thusly increased fatigue, the display on the 505 is laborious to read. Yes the machine works well, however the Elite 2200 beats it in nearly every attribute. I do wish that the Elite had the all-metal, no-motion feature, however a little practice "X-ing" compensates for that shortcoming.
Anyone considering buying a new detector, I would suggest one of the newer technology models that has a larger display and a lighter weight control box.
