F-75 set up question.

If you were going to hnut a spot that is fairly free of trash, but, the coins were very deep 8"-10" what mode or settings would you use. I have just a spot like that I want to check with the F-75 when I get it. I used an Explorer here and was getting coins in that range. Thanks.

Dan, settings of sen. 80, disc. 6-10, (no notching), tones (your choice---I like 3h) and de process, will easily hit coins 8-10" and the only chatter will be from what is in the ground.... at least in my West Tn. dirt. There are other settings that will work, but this setup is stable and quiet (here) and will get depths on coin size objects deeper even then 8-10". HH jim tn

Disc 0, sensitivity as high as allowable without excessive chatter (maybe only 30 if that's what it takes), dE mode, 3H tones, no notch (shows "1" no matter what you do).

I confess I haven't actually hunted at D"0" but since seeing the graph of discrimination vs. depth that was floating around in the F-75 Classroom I've been playing in my frozen yard over my test garden and it certainly seems to squeeze out more depth. I'm getting unknown hits in what I previously had been a swept area with my buried test targets (some coins to 12"). That would mean it's hitting deeper than the All Metal mode that I cleared the spot with and have swept countless times since and with other brands.

Same as above I would try the JE mode with freq 6,7 low sense if its stable ramp it up..this machine is Hot..I find the hardest thing about it is holding it back..The de from 0-6 disc and sense 30 and up will get the job done..Let us know what you find..
