I think maybe what throws a lot of the new F-75 users for a loop is the huge amount of audio they initially hear when swinging the first couple of times. This, in my opinion, is actually one of the many strengths of the F-75. My reasoning is this: It's an unfortunate fact of life that in most sites, the "easy" targets are gone.. (talking about old stuff here, relics and old coins). What is left is either masked by a iron or trash object, or is deeper than most detectors can find.
What I am discovering with the F-75 is that what was once "dead ground" is now lively with signals that need checking out. The F-75 simply "sees" small (read also DEEP) targets that other machines do not. A lot of what has been called "noise" is actually target reports. Now to put this in perspective, if the F-75 ignores a small mid-depth target, it would also ignore a super deep coin sized target. So, for me, I welcome the extra audio/display information! If I want those stubborn deep targets, I'm more than willing to listen to all the little stuff in the ground to get them. So far, the F-75 is "telling me" about signals in the ground that I never knew existed!
Of course, not all these targets are going to be desirable. However,in their midst is that rare old coin! The reason they are still there at all is because they were "ignored" (not seen) by other detectors. I have a deep silver dime buried in my test garden. It is the first target I swing a new machine over when I get one. The F-75, with default out of the box settings, reported the dime to me with no problems. With a little "tweaking" the signal got even better! Have other detectors I've had been able to see the dime? Sure...some of them. However (big HOWEVER) I had to crank them up into the "unstable" range... ie: Not where they would be set for "real life" hunting. The F-75 however, was set well within the range of "real world" type use...To me, in my humble opinion, this is very impressive. Now all this isn't even touching on the incredible un-masking abilities of the F-75... I just had been reading some folks impressions and felt like climbing up on a soapbox for a few minutes
Just my honest opinion...(sorry for "rambling on")
