I would like to know what ID number evreyone is reading for nickels. I have been finding several quarters, dimes, and pennies, but have not been able to find nickels. I have been digging every ID from 25 to 40, and no nickels. I guess it might be that there just is'nt any nickels lost where I am looking. Thanks for your help!

No nickels here either..these folks are tight with the change now that gas has sky rocketed...

Guys, there are plenty of nickels out there. On many of the older sites that have been pounded over the years I often find more nickels then any other type of coin. Anyway, dig all those nice clear tones with readings of 28-31 and you will dig plenty of nickels. HH jim tn

Make sure you aren't notching out nickles. I was hunting today and noticed for the first time I wasn't digging nickles. I checked and there was s slash across the nickles. I had inadvertently set the disc. too high. I turned it down and started digging nickles. The F-75 loves nickles.

keep on diggin'

Sounds good to me..I just got my first SILVER 1952 dime 4" on edge 1 hour ago.....WOOOHOOOOO..:hot:..In my front yard..Just found a wheat pennie last week..5 foot away..

Depending on depth I'm hitting nickels at 26 to 31 (deeper is lower VDI). And the F-75 LOVES nickels. I'm finding that other detectors at my primary park (and my own Minelab Musky Advantage) are either flat out missing them or are just too lazy to dig for them. 6" & 7" nickels keep me digging.

Nickels come in at 30 and under for me. They usually bounce between 28-30. Tabs will hit 30 and bounce between 30-32 or higher.

Most of the time...
