F-75/GTI2500 ?

I hunt in Deep South Texas where the ground is heavy with minerals how will the F-75 perform in these conditions? Also how does the F-75 stack up against the GTI 2500? I only ask as I have never owned a Fisher before, not trying to start a war but I would like a non biased view on how the two machines stack up to one another as I am buying a new detector and have heard some good things about both machines. Thanks in advance.

Let me list the advantages the F75 has over the GTI 2500 :

1. Less weight

2. Uses less batteries (just 4 AAs) and has a runtime of 40 hours +

3. DD coil standard(separates better in trash and works better in bad ground than the GTIs standard concentric coil)

4. About 5" deeper on low conductors (Nickels and Goldrings)and about 3" deeper on silver coins.

5. 100 VDI numbers (GTI has just 24 blocks to display the target).
The F75 can see the difference between the newer style pulltab and a nickel, the GTI can NOT.

6. More tone ID modes.

7. Faster recovery speed. That means way better in trash !

I bet i forgot a few things, but that should do it.

Well....if the GTI would be a very good top of the line detector i would have it. Fact is that the GTI 2500 in disc mode it not much deeper than the $ 212 Garrett Ace 250. I had basicly any detector in the last 12 years and the F75 made it to the top in just three weeks.

Thanks for the reply. Based on everything I have read I am going with the F-75, again thank you for the reply.
