F-75/ GTI 2500

I hunt in Deep South Texas where the ground is heavy with minerals how will the F-75 perform in these conditions? Also how does the F-75 stack up against the GTI 2500? I only ask as I have never owned a Fisher before, not trying to start a war but I would like a non biased view on how the two machines stack up to one another as I am buying a new detector and have heard some good things about both machines. Thanks in advance.

I use a GTI 2500, I have owned a Tek T2 also...Never tried a F75 yet but intend to asap. However the GTI 2500 is a very hard machine to top. The t2 didn't beat it but the T2 had some advantages over the GTI as far as weight, and comfort, and ease of use. But I sold the T2 and kept the GTI.
I hope the F75 is as good.... The T2 and F75 might beat it in iron areas...not by much but I've seen great finds with a 200.00 Tek Turbo as well.

They are great great detectors....If you got the money I highly recommend one of each in your arsenal...If your like me Poor ole country boy...Your decision is not one I'd wish on anyone, cause they are all great detectors!

As we all have our favorites...GTI2500 has been around for 8 years or so and the F-75 is the new kid on the block with limited feedback on performance..What glares out is the GTI2500 is big bulky hard to handle and in most cases is a medium depth unit while the F-75 is a much lighter and ergonomically correct deeper unit..I would go to your local multiline dealer and perhaps your local club for some insight. In conclusion both top of the line units and either may serve you well..Do put his on the Garrett forum also for added insight...

Silverstar,if your new to metal detecting I think the F-75 may require some learning.I don't think some units make great beginner units and I think the T2 would fall in that group, which does have similiarities to the F-75.There are a lot of hunters that go through a lot of different detectors in order find one or two detectors that will work for them and their conditions. You know the saying keep it simple is sometimes more efficent. The GTI2500 is probably more user freindly but will still require a little more work to learn.
