Well-known member
It was HOT today and this evening but I really needed to hunt !! I knew this was going to be my last chance to get a hunt in for a while because of commitments I must do . I got out for 3 short hunts today but didn't do much at all til' the last hunt of the evening . I'm not going to show the dog tag , the junk ring or the decent amount of clad I found . Just the stuff that makes us crazy !!

3 golds is terrific, WTG. In tot lots, you were probably digging it all, but do you recall what they id'ed at. 5 of the 6 gold rings I've found with my 75 all id'ed dead on 30. The other was a big men's class ring and id'ed at 55. Again, great finds, George. HH jim tn

Thanks Jim tn , Elton , Jimmy K and tink !! Here's the numbers ...............
Disc level - 3

Sens 13
# tones - 4
process dE
This just happened to be what the machine was set on at the time , I didn't even go into all-metal to ground balance like I usually do ( it's a fairly shallow tot lot ) . The rings were 2" to 4" deep ,all read in the nickel Icon the numbers were 30 , 28 and I think one was 25 .

Goerge,

Elton and I have been talking lately about how low the sensitivity can be run of the F75 and still be effective. Do you run your F75 at 13-20 often? If so what kind of depth are you getting and do you have to turn your volume up a lot to hear tones. I tried running mine one night at 10 and noticed it killed the volume. Had to crank it up all the way for a good loud tone. I imagine with head phones you could really here a signal good with the sens at 5-15. What do you think--Sens at 13 hurting your hunting deeper stuff. Appearently not gold at 2-4" thou.

I always hunt in the highest sensitivity I can . The only reason it was that low was because I had turned it down at another area where I had been getting some interference previously .I had no Idea what I had set it at when I did as I was just using my ears and not the screen . I just found out what my settings were when you guys asked me what they were and I turned on the machine to see .Nevertheless even though I was using those settings , the volume was good on all targets . Just goes to show how forgiving a detector the F-75 can be .That was the last area I hunted and It's not a cool place to be after dark .
All I was concerned about was giving the place a good combing and getting the heck out .
