F - 75 first gold

Big Ed 13

New member
I decided to bring my f-75 out were I've been hunting with GPX 5000, and finding gold, I was in all metal, got a clean target, but Numbers bounced back an forth from 24 to 87, and dug target about 10 - 12 in. deep popped this 57.3 dwt. lump of gold.

Thanks everyone, still can not post pics even after resizing. Posted fine on Rob's forum:shrug:I use a Minelab P.I. mostly. But wanted to post here since I was using my Fisher F-75. I really love my F-75, bought it new from KellyCo, about 1 1/2 yrs ago. The nugget was only my second target of the day, the first target retrieved was a 44. lead ball same depth 10 -12 in.

Thanks again, Ed

WoW !!!! Nice Nugget !!!! How bad was the ground that you were in ?? How does it handle the hot rocks ??

Until Ed gets back to you here is something to chew on. I have done well on gold with the F75 http://www.fisherlab.com/hobby/finds-Steve-Herschbach.htm

Thank you, Steve, for posting the picture for me, And thanks for all the kind words, the ground not bad, hot rocks give that "funky grunt" sound. If ground is hot I just lower sen, or switch disc. mostly able to run in All Metal, here Trinity/Shasta Counties, CA.
P.S. it was Steve's, review of the F-75se, that influenced me, perfect complement to my GPX 5000. And able to hunt coin, & relics too.

Take Care, Ed
