Of Wheats, a pile of Memorials, several dimes, nickles, and quarters..and oh yea the bottle caps..Early rusty type.

Wheres the Silver ??????????? HAHAHHAAHH:rage:

I am sure the silver will come. I started out that way with my F70 but I was happy with how hard it hit on the clad. I was just sure that it would find silver if I could put the coil on top of some.
I know that they hit you with a lot of targets, but be alert for that crisp sound that bounces up or stays high on the numbers. It is hard to realize just how crisp a good signal sounds. Once
you hit a few silvers they will jump out at you. Good luck, at keep at it.

HH, Don

Thanks I will

Where there are wheats, there should be silver. But silver is few and far between as the old timers scooped a lot of it up as it was easy pickings. The silver I find is deep and usually old...but there's never enough of it for me!

Still, there's nothing like that gleam of silver in the hole. Mecr, Barber, Seated or Bust, they all shine. You are patient, you will find some sooner or later. Ron

don't worry elton!..it's there!..just hidin' on ya!

Keep in mind , too degradation of deep signals .Once you get below a certain depth say 6 inches your silver values may be lower than you think.Keep your eye on the depth meter .

I know the F-70 will find silver.
Gates and I hunted an old church site today --A farm field now.
I found this Barber quarter and almost did the happy dance.
It is in the best shape of any silver coins I have found in a plowed field.

Yeah the silver is out there. Heck I like digging wheats as much as i like digging silver. Don't dig much silver. Usually war nickels. I am still looking for that elusive Merc Dime. Down here in Mississippi I am having trouble finding them. Don't know if we were just to poor back then or what. I am going today to dig a new spot. A school from 1922. The land had the county court house and jail on it since the 1800's so hopefully i will find something good today. I am gonna try.

EL,

Sometimes you gotta find 15 - 20 straight wheats before hitting a silver. What kind of site is it? I find that wheats predominate some older lots, but if you are hunting an old park, you are due 1 silver coin for about every 5 wheats. Good luck out there. - Jim
