Ladies and Gentlemen: I need all of your valuable, experienced comments. I own a brand new, latest update, never used Fisher F-70 with standard coil and the F-75 DD coil. I also own a Fisher CZ-70 Pro with three coils; the small "hockey puck", the 8 inch and ten inch coils. I am only going to keep one of the detectors. Will you please help me choose between them. All pro's and con's will be greatly appreciated. Send me a P.M. if you want. My detecting consists of coin and jewelry hunting in very old yards and parks and I want to keep the deepest detector. Thank you for any suggestions;,input, pro or con. Dave.

Dave,

The F70 is much faster at recovering between targets which allows you to see more of whats under the coil. Personally, I feel the recovery speed is a BIG PLUS.

I love the CZ also but it tends to average more of what's under the coil because it is slower processing.

IF you detected the salt beaches, I would say KEEP the CZ. If you dont do wet salt beaches, the F70 is your best bet.

I've always thought that too much emphasis was put on raw depth anyway. Raw depth is fine, but if you have masking problems, depth aint worth squat. More coins are hidden by masking than depth, and if you have a machine with a slow recovery speed.............you aint gonna hear them (targets) no matter HOW deep that machine is!
In MY sites, target separation and unmasking properties are the holy grail. Depth is secondary. But, having said that, the depth of the F70 is more than adequate to compete with the older fishers, so you get the best of both worlds with it. To each his own (it IS just a hobby guys), but I'd personally take the F70 over any of the older CZ's anyday. Streak!

I would choose the F70 both for inland and the beach.
I have had some great finds on the wet sand and some good finds on inland sites. F70 all the way.
