F 70 ing

Been using the F70. Had a loaner for a few days and liked it, so now I have a F70. It really loves those little charms, buttons, and little bits of metal. Got a toe ring and a 10K I think ruby ring? I turned on the AT and the first hit was 10K ring. I already have almost 200 coins using it. My count for the summer is 1090 on coins. Oh the nickles, one is a 1946 and 1964. Thanks for reading.....Z

Nice going with the F-70! I have the F-75 and know what you mean about the small pieces of metal. A couple of days ago I went to our local park which is filled with pea gravel. In about 30 minutes time the F-75 pulled out a small initial charm, a cheap ring and some very small bits of broken jewelry. All this was mixed in with the gravel and all about 3-6 inches in depth.

The quick response and recovery speeds of the F series Fishers are truly amazing.

Good luck and HH! Hope you have a chance to find more.

Thanks Charles for the reply. I think the F70 a pretty good machine. I sure do enjoy the lightness and the ease of setting up. I like the DP part too because last detector had a zillion tones and after a time it was more and more understanding. The depth is nothing to be moaning about either. Plenty good for me. I also like the ground grab feature because I do GG often. When changing conditions, when detector gets noisy and when I have been detecting for awhile.
I just GG, I don't know if you have to do it that much but I think the detector performs better. It is so easy, why not...
Thanks again.....Z

pretty good! the F70 with the F75 11" DD coil is hard to beat... it is the best machine i have ever used, and i have used a lot of differant DT'ers.

I love my F70 but have a fixation on the little elliptical coil. I tell myself I need to use the bigger coils, I am leaving stuff behind, etc but
last night I dug a little sleigh bell at 10 inches. Thursday night I collected $4.00 in quarters just digging quarter and dime signals. Thought
I would be happy with the modern clad but I managed a sweet 43 merc before quitting. I have the bigger coils, but love the fact I can drop
this little guy into most holes on the tip and pinpoint with it.

Terry thanks for the reply. Gad do I know what you are talking about with different machines. I keep saying well, maybe this is the machine I am looking for and again and again and again. Finally decided on F70 because it is light, different coils, can go pretty deep, good battery life and easy to use. The main thing that it is light.
Don the one coil I usually end up with on all my detectors is a 6" coil. I usually always pick the 6" because it is much lighter than the standard coil, still cover a lot of ground, works good in trashy areas, it is a go anywhere do anything coil, and it still picks up a lot of good finds.
Thanks for the replies and reading. HH.....Z

It has been a while for a post but I just wanted to show what the F70 has been doing. My coin count has gone up to 1435 coins and this is some of the jewelry I have picked up. The ring is a 14K with 7 little stones the other rings toe rings. Old dead eye here broke the stem on the watch when I dug it up so it isn't any good. I also found a lot of other cheap jewelry but can't remember which ones so will keep them out until I get ready to take another picture. A lot of toe rings, maybe 10 or more hot wheels.
Still trying different settings and running discrimination and At to get feel of the F70. Usually run dis 15, thres -3/-5 and sens 60-80. Thanks for reading.....Z
