Has anybody ever used the F-4 around old home places. If so what size coil was used. I am thinking about buying one. Would be used mostly for parks and old schools. I would also want to be able to look around old home places,old farm houses. Would this be a good detector for this. Thanks
 
I have the F2 that is the little brother to the F4. The F2 can quickly separate targets with ease. If you buy the F4 special you'll get all 3 coils. So the 4 inch coil may be the one to use in the trash. But I can say that the 8 inch coil can pick out targets with the best of them.
 
Khouse is right. The F4 is very good in trash and combined with the small coil it is a killer.
