These readings were consistent each time target was passed under the coil.

Ag Half 85
Ag Quarter 80
Ag Dime 73
Cu Penny 62
Zn Penny 59
IH Penny 54
Nickel 32

.58 3 Ringer 59
.30 Pistol Ball 35

Cuff Button 30

Sorry to be so dumb but what does Ag mean? Also do you have any idea of what kind of depth the F4 is getting. Thanks Richard! Steve.

I certainly hope I didn't come across as implying you might be wrong. The numeric "gap" between the silver dime and the copper penny just caught my eye because I've never seen a detector that had that much resolution in that area of conductivity. My understanding (and Lord knows I can be wrong at any given moment in time :) ) is that sort of high conductor resolution would normally be an effect of very low operating frequency which the F4 doesn't have so perhaps there's been a bit of a new trick pulled with this detector?
 
I tried it again, this time using more coins.....This is all the machine would give me....

Silver dime 71-73 (no jumping on ID, different dimes would change
occasionally)
Copper Penny 62-64

that difference is definitely more typical of what one would typically see with a clad or silver dime and a zinc penny. I know a couple clad busters that will love this detector given it lets them dig dimes and not pennies.
 
The range on any ID detector from an early indian head to the zinc penny covers a lot of meter numbers and yes we have one modern penny out there which I call the high penny( 70's to low 80's) which will fool any unit ever made as it comes in almost dead clad dime..
