Eye Opening Experience with my New CTX3030

Here's the Scoop! My grandkids and I took out the CTX for her maiden voyage on my property. I have run many different detectors here. Signals are far and few.Mostly Iron signals.
I have Gone Huntin's program in my machine with tones. The first signal was a corroded zinc. Next signal We get a high tone which I am familiar with as I have
used an Explorer XS and Exp. 2 for a few years now. We used the target trace option and low and behold I see 2 targets on my screen. One up in coin range and
one down low in iron range. My reading was a 12-38 and you could hear the null but the other target rang high tone. So the kids dug out the targets and low and
behold was a 1948 wheaty in nice shape and an iron nail right on top of it!!! I was in awe... I have dug targets like this in iron with much more difficulty. The CTX 3030
rang this target out nice and loud and target was 6-7 inches down. Needless to say I was truly IMPRESSED with this eye opening experience.I took other detectors
over this specific target before we dug it to see if any other machine would ID it.The CTX was right on. My other Top of the line machine averaged the readings to a number 46.
Audio was good and would have dug this with this machine.
Other machines could not ID the coin but only the nail.So this coin would still be sitting forever. Anyway, The CTX3030 is truly a winner in my eyes and is very versatile for most conditions.
I will run this unit again over my property to see if I can pick some more targets from the Iron signals left here. After that I will dig all metal and see what has been missed!!!
Thanks Minelab as my CTX 3030 seems to truly be a WINNER!!! I also want to Thank you guys that post on the CTX 3030 as I read them alot. I remember reading about target trace
and when I saw it pop on the screen on my 2nd target I knew instantly what might be going on by just reading other members Posts.... Thanks Guys and Happy TH'ing
