Hi-I've been out of it for about a year. I've had a Minelab Expolorer for a long time and now I'm hearing about an Explorer2. Can someone please tell me the difference. Thanks-Chuck

Read further down the forum and found the info I needed. Sorry for not looking before leaping.

Explorer2 had been improved considerable..especially with the target identification making it easier to guess whats under the ground, its got a ferrous and conductivity numbers.. so a partticular coin may give a certain value ie. 14,22... Sounds interesting. It also has a faster processor than the XS, so you dont have to sweep at the slow speed that we are used to. I called minelab and asked if they could comment about the detuning in pinpoint but the guy i spoke to wasnt sure. At Aust $1850 its a reasonable amount of money, as for me ill keep with my XS cause i cant afford a new machine.

Thanks Peter-I think I'll stay with my XS also. It's just to darn much money.
