Are theses units still being serviced by Minelab and an we still get parts ect?
 
Give Minelab a call and talk to a tech...imagine due to the age all parts are not available but that doesn't mean they can't evaluate a down unit and remember one bad solder joint could be the culprit....have a closet queen XS myself and bet your boots if it went down would do the same..
